Super blown our smokey eye using only 3 products! Also tried out the MAC Full Coverage Foundation and all I gotta say is…..it’s effin full alright.
Finally! instead of having to trail round the horrible silver case i used to have I can now proudly walk around with a more sleek looking zuca bag ^___^
I went down to London with Tim especially to grab this….and a few other products for my kit which I will talk about in another post. Although it looks small, it actually fits more of my kit in with my brush belt, than my silver case did without my brushes!
The zuca bag is extremely sturdy….it even has a seat on top of it so you have a place to sit when your waiting for a train, bus etc! It comes with a waterproof cover, that has the M.A.C logo on the front and a zip at the top on the bag for you to pull the handle through. There are also clips on the bottom to make sure it is secure.
When you take the cover off, the same logo is on the front and is secured down with a clip on the front. It has 4 huge pockets on each side, 2 with netting over and 2 that zip up just behind the netting. There is also a smaller pocket above these on each side which I use to put my pencil sharpeners in and business cards in. The whole of the actually bag can be removed from the metal frame so that you can wash it and get it squeaky clean if it gets dirty ^__^
When you open the front of the zuca, there are 2 pockets on the inside of opening front which I use to put brow products in. The inside of the opening front fully zips open to reveal another space which I use to hold any fixing sprays and setting sprays.
There are four see-through pockets inside, which you can buy more off if you need to, and on the roof of the zuca there is a netted pocket which I use to store any random tools and products ^__^
As I said before you get 4 plastic wallets with the M.A.C logo on the front, These are great in size as they can bulk out if you overfill them and they even have a slot on the handle of them in which you can label. I use the wallets to store my skincare, eye and lip pallets, powders and blushers and lastly foundations.
This zuca bag has been one of the best investments i’ve made as a freelance makeup artist and I definitely would recommend it to all makeup artists out there!
Sorry it’s been a while guys!
So, M.A.C Viva glam Nicky 2 lipstick, I’m actually slightly obsessed with it at the moment because it goes so well with my hair (if I mix it with the right lip liner). On it’s own it is a very pale lilac colour which can be difficult to wear, (unless thats the look your going for) but it works best when you mix it with other colours :]
My favourite way to wear it is with Vino lipliner :
I Start off by applying Nicky 2 in the centre of my lips and then drawing round the edge in vino lipliner. I then blend vino inwards to meet Nicky 2
Other great liners to wear it with are : Magenta, Nightmoth, Current, Beet, Hip ‘n’ Happy.
So as you guys who follow me know I work for M.A.C and I have an awesome opportunity to share with you that you can participate in and learn some awesome makeup techniques from our Senior Artist!
Basically it is a masters event held on our counter where me and 3 other artists will be working alongside one of the senior artists to give you guys the privilege of having a M.A.C MAKEOVER. This is a once in a very rare blue moon event and is rarely held at any mac counter or store, it’s an amazing opportunity to get stuck in with some of the best artist who work along side fashion week and celebrities.
The event is held at the M.A.C counter at the White Rose centre in Leeds so you will have to be based in or around this area, all you have to do is book in like you would a normal appointment with us except ask for the masters appointment. The event is a one day period only on the 31st of July.
My work brushes
Hey guys! So i filmed a video a couple of weeks ago about the brushes that use at work and also the different techniques I like to use them for. However in the video I only talk about the brushes I use for the face as the video would have been way too long if I had filmed all my eye brushes as well.
Brushes in order of appearance :
I hope this video helped you guys out a bit and answered some questions about which brushes are good, or what I think are good, for certain techniques.
So today I decided to take a photo of my makeup (well just my eye makeup) and I think I might start doing more of these and telling you guys what products I am using ^___^

M.A.C Pro Performance HD Airbrush
So It’s been a while since I really practiced my airbrushing skills and I have been neglecting it terribly! Today I finally picked it up and refreshed myself, seriously, I forgot how amazing the results are.
The airbrush gun that I use is the Airbase one, although I might save up to purchased the M.A.C airbrush gun. I do have some Airbase foundations however i’m a bigger fan of the M.A.C ones. I bought the M.A.C Pro Performance HD Airbrush makeup at the I.M.A.T.S makeup festival but you can buy them online or in any M.A.C Pro store ^__^
The colours that I own are : White
I mix these together to create a variety of neutral shades for bases, contouring and eye makeup!
Also sorry for the crappy hair and overall photo, i’ve been getting lazy with my camera :p
My work/M.A.C brushes
I’ve uploaded a video onto my youtube channel where I am talking about my work/M.A.C. brushes and what I use them for and also what they are, However I have only explained the brushes that I use for the face as it would take a lot longer to explain all the others, I may however, upload a second video on the topic but talk about all the brushes that I use for the eyes and lips. Go check it out anyway and give me a shout if you want any tips/techniques on the brushes I use or what you already have!
